Hamburg presented as European Best Practice at the Zhuhai Inter-City Laboratory in China

Within the Zhuhai Inter-City Laboratory, Hamburg recently promoted mySMARTLife in China. The conference, organised by the Europe-China Eco-Cities Link, took place from 21st to 23rd June 2017 in the Chinese city of Zhuhai.

Christoph Lindemann, local coordinator of the Lighthouse City, presented the cities’ greener mobility activities being implemented within mySMARTLife.

The first day of the event was dedicated to the European and Chinese cities presenting their experiences and best practices on the topics urban planning, green transport and green buildings. Six European cities and six presentations from the Chinese side were held.

The second day focused on exchange: The European and Chinese cities had time to continue the dialogue started on the first day during parallel round table discussions. In particular, European cities used the chance to further describe their experience and best practices.

The Zhuhai event has seen the participation of more than 100 persons: a European Delegation, the Chinese Ministry of Housing and Urban Rural Development, ten Chinese EC Link Pilot cities, further Chinese cities representatives, research centres and associations.
